Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Michel Vorm signing reports

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to that Michel Vorm has signed a new contract until the end of the season.

Hugo Lloris added to Mauricio Pochettino’s problems ahead of the international break. The Frenchman dislocated his elbow in the defeat at Brighton, that he is not expected to return to training until next year.

Paulo Gazzaniga looks set to step up in Lloris’s absence. But it appears that Pochettino was keen to bolster his ranks while his captain is out.

that Vorm was set to join Spurs on a short-term deal. The Dutchman was released in the summer after five years with the club. that he had made a swift return to North London.

The news has actually received a mixed response on social media. There are some supporters who believe that it is a good move from Spurs to get Vorm back. He is an experienced stopper who could arguably do a decent job should anything happen to Gazzaniga.

Mixed reaction

It is also noted that the young goalkeepers available to Pochettino are yet to make a senior appearance for the club. So it would be a big risk to not sign any cover.

However, others believe that signing Vorm is a mistake. They clearly feel that Pochettino needs to be prepared to show some faith in the younger players if they are going to make the grade at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the future.

Others meanwhile, believe that Vorm is not a worthwhile signing. Some had no problem with his release, and do not believe that he can contribute enough to vindicate the decision to bring him back.
