Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Gabriel Barbosa reports
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Spurs want Gabriel Barbosa.
Jose Mourinho is set to be without Harry Kane for the majority of the remaining months of the season. The Sunday People reports that he has undergone surgery and is set to be out until April.
Spurs certainly have a lot of attacking quality. But they do appear to lack a striker who can replace Kane while he is out.
that Mourinho has identified a potential replacement for the England international. It is reported that Spurs are interested in Barbosa.
Gabigol has endured a disappointing time since moving to Inter Milan. He has made just nine Serie A appearances since his switch in 2016. He also struggled while on loan at Benfica, but he has been outstanding back in Brazil.
Barbosa scored 18 goals in 35 games for Santos, and he bagged 25 in 29 with Flamengo during the 2019 season.
So it is probably not a huge surprise that reports linking the 23-year-old with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have divided supporters on social media.
Some doubt whether Barbosa would be a success in the Premier League. They believe that his lack of success with Inter is a warning sign about his ability to adapt outside of Brazil.
However, there are others who believe that he could be an inspired signing. Some fans clearly feel that it could be an inspired gamble given that he was so ruthless during his most recent loan spell.

Barbosa makes a lot of sense for , he can play up top or wide right when Harry’s back. He’s a gamble but honestly who isn’t?! Surely if we do want him we can get a deal done especially if they want Eriksen. Get a CM & RB & probably wait till the summer for a CB & a LB

Yes please. Having watched this guy a lot in Brazilian Serie A, he is quality and still only 23 so time to develop. If we could get him for a small fee along with Eriksen heading the other way it would be a good deal. Also left footed so could play in a 2 with Harry when fit

Won’t happen but would be incredible if it did. Watched him play in the Copa and he is something else.
That said controlling his temper is still a big issue, think he had 3 red cards for Flamengo last year.
