Tottenham fans react on Twitter to ‘awful’ Dele Alli reports
Dele Alli leaving Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window has been discussed by Spurs fans on Twitter amid reports that he could be on the move.
Dele’s future being uncertain will come as little surprise to most. The 25-year-old has struggled for some time having made an outstanding start to life at White Hart Lane.

He has been out of favour under several managers now. And with Antonio Conte only handing Dele – – a handful of minutes in the Premier League in the opening stages of his tenure, it now appears that the situation is set to come to a head in January.
that Tottenham have given the midfielder the green light to leave. , that any move is likely to involve a loan deal due to Spurs’ asking price.

Tottenham fans would have been forgiven for hoping that Conte’s appointment may prove to be a turning point for Dele. Unfortunately, it appears that the Italian has come to the same conclusion as the likes of Nuno Espírito Santo and Jose Mourinho before him.
And in truth, the Spurs supporters do not seem at all surprised or angry about the club’s stance. They largely accept that it is time to let Dele go.
Many have expressed their disappointment at how his career has played out in recent years. It seemed that he was destined to be one of England’s best players in the couple of years after arriving at Tottenham.
‘Probably the right decision’: Tottenham fans discuss reports on future of Dele Alli
He still has time to turn his career around. But he may well have to do it elsewhere.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Tottenham fans have reacted to the reports…
Everyone should be devastated. English player with the world at his feet at one point. The fall from grace has been sickening to watch. Needs to move yes for us and for him. I’m not celebrating though.. that’s properly strange. We’re selling him at his worst.. 🤦🏻♂️

It’s a shame, but it’s the best thing for him and the club. Maybe a fresh start will reinvigorate his career.

Awful sad end to his career but probably the right decision. Will be gutted to see him leave though.

Will always have a soft spot for him but it’s time. It’s the right move for both the parties

It’s best for both parties

Just loan pls

Dele’s first 3 seasons were nothing short of magical but this is the fourth consecutive year where he’s done nothing so if we want to act like a big club we must cash in

We’re finally serious

It’s sad news this. Until a few years ago Dele Alli displayed a level of flare & magic as a player that made him one of the country’s best footballers in my opinion. But it seem a transfer is what’s needed to alter the present downward trajectory his career is on. /1
