Tottenham fans react on Twitter as they are linked with Diego Costa

Tottenham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign forward Diego Costa – and some of their fans on Twitter have responded to insist the club take up that opportunity.

The claims that Spanish La Liga club Atletico are prepared to sell the striker this summer, due to the fact he is entering the final year of his contract with them and they wish to cash in.

It is explained that the north London club want to bring in an attacking player to play understudy to talisman Harry Kane and Costa could represent a cheaper alternative to some of their targets.

Costa is a familiar face to Premier League audiences from his three-year spell with Chelsea and he managed to win two top-flight titles with them.

The 31-year-old has struggled in the past couple of seasons with Atletico due to a spate of injuries, but showed in English football he’s a frontman that can bully defences with his power, strength and overall aggressive approach.

He was signed at Chelsea by current Spurs boss Jose Mourinho and there is now the chance for them to reunite across London.
