Tottenham fans react as Toby Alderweireld scores for Belgium
Toby Alderweireld scored for Belgium in the 4-0 win over Scotland last night. Belgium cruised to victory in Scotland with Kevin De Bruyne making a big difference.
De Bruyne captained the side and provided three assists before scoring the fourth. Alderweireld got Belgium’s third goal and it came before half-time against the struggling Scots.

Alderweireld rose highest from a De Bruyne corner and his header went in via the underside of the bar. It was the Belgian defender’s first goal since 2017 when he netted against Hull City. Interestingly, David Marshall was in goal for Hull that day and he conceded again last night for Scotland.
In the summer, Alderweireld was the subject of transfer speculation. Given the fact that he has a £25m release clause, there was plenty of rumours suggesting he could leave Spurs. Manchester United were among the teams interested in the £25m move ().
But he is still a Tottenham player at the moment and the fans would love to see him sign a new contract. Here are some fans reacting to his goal against Scotland.
