Tottenham fans react as they could reportedly be offered Luka Jovic
Tottenham will reportedly be given the chance to sign Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic in the summer transfer window – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they are keen for him to join.
The reports that Madrid are planning on offering both Spurs and London neighbours Chelsea the chance to sign the £50million ace in the next window.
It is explained that both clubs have previously had the 22-year-old on their radar, but it’s unclear on if they would still be keen on him.
The report adds that Spurs and Chelsea plan to be in the market for a centre-forward, so Spanish club Madrid will reach out with the offer of Jovic.
Madrid reportedly want to offload Jovic already after only signing him last summer from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he had boosted his reputation as a big upcoming talent.
He managed 27 goals in 48 games for Frankfurt during the 2018/19 campaign, which included 10 goals in the Europa League competition.
The Serbian forward is a decent finisher with both feet, but only has two goals so far this season for Madrid and hasn’t got much of a look-in.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe they should be keen to negotiate a move for Jovic and listen to Madrid’s offer.
With Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son both suffering injuries throughout this campaign, it’s highlighted the genuine lack of options at striker within the group and adding another striker looks a no-brainer.
