Tottenham fans react as Paratici reportedly closing in on signing of 26-year-old
Fabio Paratici is reportedly ‘ready to close’ a deal to sign Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez – and Tottenham fans have reacted to the news on Twitter.
Nandez, 26, is quickly establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A football outside of the top teams. He joined Cagliari in 2019.
Clocking up 79 outings for the Serie A outfit, he has played an enormous part in helping his current club remain in the top tier of Italian football.
Last summer, he was expected to go after proving crucial in Cagliari’s avoiding the drop. say Nandez has a £30m release clause in his deal.
Now, a report from say Tottenham are ‘ready to close’ a deal for the 44-time Uruguay international, with January three months away.
The story also claims that Napoli and Inter Milan have been chasing Nandez for some time. However, Tottenham are seemingly on pole position.

Tottenham need cover in the middle of the park. Moussa Sissoko left in the summer and Harry Winks is expected to go in the coming months.
Oliver Skipp has been promoted and Dele Alli has dropped deeper into midfield – alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Gio Lo Celso is an option.
But Spurs need more workhorses, players willing to the ugly side of midfield battles. Nandez, too, can play as a right-back, or a right wing-back.
