Tottenham fans react as George Marsh joins Leyton Orient on loan
Tottenham Hotspur starlet George Marsh has joined Leyton Orient on loan until January, . The young defensive midfielder has penned a half-season loan deal with Leyton Orient, who have recently been promoted to League Two.
Marsh has already made his senior Tottenham debut – in the cup against Tranmere Rovers – and will continue his development with Orient. He joins former Spurs coach Ross Embleton in East London.
The 20-year-old played a role in pre-season, travelling to Asia with the first-team squad. But with a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order, Mauricio Pochettino has decided that a loan spell would be beneficial for all parties.

Tottenham and Leyton Orient have a strong relationship dating back several years. Harry Kane, Tom Carroll and Andros Townsend are three examples of players who were sent on loan to Brisbane Road while coming through the ranks at Tottenham.
Marsh will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Kane and the others by impressing at Leyton Orient. Here are some tweets from Spurs fans reacting to Marsh’s loan move.

Love this! Ever since hearing of Leyton’s struggles I’ve always kept tabs on how they’ve been doing and wishing them success. Great to see a young spurs lad get to play for them and hopefully make a difference! ??
