Tottenham fans react as club reportedly rivalling Liverpool for Greek flyer

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Olympiacos defender Konstantinos Tsimikas but face competition from Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Arsenal this summer – and Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter.

Tsimikas, 23, has sprung onto the radar of a number of European heavyweights ahead of the summer window as the Greece international continues to shine on the left side of the defence – and has even impressed against Arsenal and Spurs.

This season, the three-time Greek star has impressed home and away against Tottenham in the Champions League group stages. He then helped Olympiacos knock Arsenal out of the Europa League in the knockout rounds.

report Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool are rivalling Italian clubs Inter Milan and Napoli for Tsimikas. Spurs are likely to be after a left-back this summer, with Danny Rose expected to leave the club on a permanent basis.

Arsenal, though, are well-stocked on the left side of the defence. Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac remain first choice, while Bukayo Saka offers cover in that position – though the England youth international is naturally a winger.

Tottenham supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that they are after a player they faced in the Champions League this season, and many believe the £22million-rated star would be a good signing.
