Tottenham fans react as club linked with Marouane Fellaini

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly make a surprise move to bring Marouane Fellaini back to the Premier League with Jose Mourinho contacting the Belgian on Friday – and Spurs fans are open to the idea of Fellaini moving to north London.

that Mourinho spoke to Fellaini, 32, just hours after Shandong Luneng suffered defeat to Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese FA Cup final on Friday. It is believed the Portuguese gaffer wants to bring him to Spurs.

The report also states that Spurs have made the Belgium veteran their ‘first priority’ in the January transfer window, though it does remain unclear how much Mourinho is to be given to spend on his inherited squad.

Mourinho has got off to a flying start as Spurs boss – winning four of his first five matches against West Ham, Olympiacos, Bournemouth and Burnley, but suffering defeat to Manchester United. His side have scored a whopping 15 goals in that time.

Spurs do lack a back-up striker to Harry Kane after Fernando Llorente left the club on a free following the expiration of his contract. The Spanish target man is currently impressing with Napoli and Carlo Ancelotti.

Tottenham fans have reacted to the reported news that their club could bring Fellaini back to the Premier League for a third spell, after clocking up 354 appearances for both Manchester United and Everton.
