Tottenham fans react as £10m star aims Instagram dig at Nuno Espirito Santo

Tottenham outcast Jack Clarke has aimed a dig at Nuno Espirito Santo after the winger was overlooked on Thursday – and Spurs fans have responded.

Clarke, 20, has only been handed four senior appearances for Tottenham since joining the club in the summer of 2019 from Leeds United.

The England Under-20 international has been out on loan back at Leeds, as well as Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City. He is currently at Spurs.

The winger played against Pacos de Ferreira in the first leg of the Europa Conference League qualifying stage. He went off after 45 minutes.

He returned to the bench for the time on Thursday night against Vitesse – after that performance at the start of the season. But was left on the bench.

Clarke, clearly frustrated, posted a two-word message on Instagram. He aimed a dig at Nuno, reminding his manager he is “patiently waiting”.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Clarke’s post on Instagram?

Unfortunately for Clarke, he has done nothing on loan or in his first four appearances for Spurs to suggest he deserves more game time.

With Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn, Bryan Gil, Lucas Moura and plenty more ahead of him in the pecking order – he faces an uphill task.

The only viable result looks as if Clarke might actually have to leave Spurs in the coming window. A loan in January is certainly the first place to start.

Tottenham fans, though, feel he deserves some sympathy and that actually – the £30k-a-week man ( should have played against Vitesse.
