Tottenham Hotspur fans will have split allegiances at the World Cup today during the opening match of Group H.

, and could offer something different in midfield.

He’s one of his country’s key players, and is sure to play a big role in their World Cup campaign in Qatar.

It’s hard to imagine many players could break up Tottenham’s current midfield pairing.

Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have been fantastic for Spurs this season.

However, Milinkovic-Savic would offer something different, and has previously been compared to Kevin de Bruyne.

Milinkovic-Savic is more attacking midfielder than any of Tottenham’s current options.

He recorded double figures for goals and assists in Serie A last season for Lazio.

In fact, no player in Italy has more assists than Milinkovic-Savic this season.

He’s also phenomenal in the air, and wins the vast majority of his aerial duels.

When on form, Milinkovic-Savic is superb to watch, and Tottenham fans should keep an eye out for him today.

Serbia have an exciting, attacking side containing the likes of Dusan Tadic and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

If they can get anything out of tournament favourites Brazil, it would be a real statement of intent from Milinkovic-Savic and co.
