Tottenham fans livid at Nuno as they suffer another disappointing loss

Tottenham fans fumed at Nuno’s use of subs vs West Ham.

The Lilywhites fell to a 1-0 defeat against the Hammers as Michail Antonio struck in the second half.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side would have returned to the top four with a win.

However, they lost against David Moyes’ side, leaving them 6th as the Irons rose to 4th.

This could have been so different had Nuno been quicker to use his substitutes.

The fans were livid when Nuno turned to use his bench and made his first changes on 83 minutes.

Not only did this give those subs barely any time to influence the game, but the change came when Spurs were chasing the game.

This reactionary approach is not what Spurs needed.

Instead of chasing the game, at 0-0 Nuno should have gone searching for a winner.

Instead he was more than happy to sit back and let the players out there try and force something.

There simply can be no excuses.

Tottenham failed to have a single shot on target in the second half.

They were undone by a corner in a close game and, granted, that can happen to any side.

However, Nuno is already under pressure amongst the fans and games like this simply will not help his cause.

Next up is a huge game against Manchester United in the Premier League,

This will be huge for both clubs.

Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Nuno are under pressure and a loss could see either of them edge closer to the sack.
