Tottenham fans hit back at Mick McCarthy over Troy Parrott comments
Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy has caused a stir this week by telling the that he’d rather Tottenham striker Troy Parrott had gone out on loan during the January transfer window.
Not one to sit on the fence with his opinion, McCarthy claims that he was disappointed to see the striker s🌳tay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite Charlton wanting to take him on loan.
Parrott has this week penned a new long-t🌳erm deal at Tottenham and McCarthy was asked whether he was pleased to see him commit his future to the club.

“Not really, I wish he’d gone to Charlt👍on and played games on loan.
“It’s great for him financially, he’s got a new contract but I wish he was playing football somewhere💮.
“He couldn’t go out before because of his age and I understand that but if he’s not playing competitive football he has very litt💎le chance of being in the squad.”
Naturally, these comments from McCarthy have got Tottenham fans talking. Many have taken to Twitter to throw their comments 🗹into the disc✅ussion over how Parrott’s future is best served.

It w𓄧ould appear that many aren’t overly fussed what the Ireland boss thinks about the situation.
Here is a sel🌠ection of tweets from Tottenham fans on the back of the club’s decision not to send Parrott out on loan:

Man’s talking like you can’t ge💜t a new contract then go on loan🤡 it’s tough breaking tꦉhrough as a footballer and Parrot understandably signed a lucrative deal w the best team in London

He should stop putting pressure in the kid. Tottenham know what's best for his development right now, not 🍰Mick McCarthy.
