Tottenham fans have a clear message about Djed Spence and Pedro Porro after Tottenham beat Man United in EFL Cup

Tottenham Hotspur supporters had a clear message about the performances of Djed Spence and Pedro Porro as their team defeated Manchester United 4-3.

Tottenham nearly allowed a three-goal to slip, however, an extraordinary goal from Heung-min Son which saw the Spurs captain’s corner end up in the back of the net. The North London club will now face either Liverpool, Arsenal or Newcastle in the last four of t🧸he Carabao Cup.

After the match, Spurs supporters had a clear message about how Porro and Spence got on against the Red Devils. One of the two full-backs earned a ꦯvery positive review from the Lilywhites’ faithful.

Tottenham fans are claiming that Djed Spence proved he might just be a better defender than Pedro Porro as the 24-year-old really impressed against Man United. Spence was making just his first back to back starts for the North London club since joining over two ye♉ars ag🔜o.

The defender came in for Destiny Udogie who Ange Poste🐓coglou revealed had been struggling with fatigue. Spence managed to claim ano🎉ther assist as he set up Dominic Solanke’s ♛second goal of the game.

But it was his defensive work down the left hand side for Tottenham which impressed supporters the most. Thꦇe former Nottingham Forest man was up against Antony and Noussair Mazraoui, havin🥂g them both on lock throughout the match.

Porro’s defensive ability have been questioned at times, but the Spaniard ce🧔ratinly makes up for it with his impressive ability in the final third. After the ♈win, Tottenham fans took to X to share their thoughts on Spence and Porro.

One fan claimed: “Spence can play on the left and on the right and♉ he can attack and defend, Porro can only play on the right and can’t defend.”

“Please can we play Spence💧 at all times at Right back and Udogie at left back because Porro defensively scares the shit out of me,” added another supporter.

There were yet more calls for Spence to start over Porro: “Spence has to start over Porro when Udogie is fit. Porro was poor today, Spence showed that he had quality against the bigger tea🌟ms, not just Southampton.”

“Spence has put in a better performance at✨ right-back and left-back in the last two games than Porro or Udogie have in month💯s,” said one more fan.

Spence ca🌃pped off a very strong showing against Ruben Amorim’s team with a second assist in as many starts. But as mentioned, it was his defensive work that impressed fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
