Tottenham fans hail Jack Clarke for England Under-20s display
Jack Clarke helped England’s Under-20s side beat Switzerland on Monday – and some Tottenham fans praised him on Twitter for his match-winning contribution.
Spurs signed Clarke in the summer for around £10million () from Leeds United, but he returned to Elland Road on a season-long loan.
The 18-year-old is a highly-rated attacker that broke into the Leeds first-team last season and looked dazzling at times in the Championship.
But he’s yet to play in the league this campaign since returning to Marcelo Bielsa’s team on loan and been restricted to cup appearances.
Clarke played for Keith Downing’s England Under-20s side on Monday and scored a late goal to secure a 1-0 victory .
The skilful winger popped at the back post with a firm header in the 93rd minute to give the Young Lions a win.

A selection of Spurs fans were impressed by Clarke’s England heroics and are extremely excited about their prospect.
With his chances so far this season at Leeds at a premium, some have even suggested he’s recalled from his loan early.
The teenage sensation needs to try break back into the team at Elland Road, but has the likes of Helder Costa, Jack Harrison and Pablo Hernandez currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
It looks unlikely that he could break into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans anytime soon, so it makes sense for him to keep battling away at Leeds in the Championship.
Here are some Spurs fans on Clarke:
