Tottenham fans drool over Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak

Jan Oblak scooped the man-of-the-match award as Atletico Madrid came from two goals down to beat Liverpool at Anfield 3-2 after extra📖-time – and Tottenham fans have drooled over the goalkeeper, following Hugo Lloris’ dismal display in Germany.

France and Tottenham captain Lloris made two errors as Spurs crashed out of thꦉe Champions League on Tuesday night, suffering defeat to RedBull Leipzig. Julian Nagelsmann’s won the tie 4-0 on aggregate.

Lloris aꦺllowed a 20-yard shot from Marcel Sabitzer to squeeze under his hands, before flapping at a Sabitzer header which hit the post and crept over the line. It added to doubts that Lloris will continue as Spurs’ number o𒆙ne beyond the summer.

Meanwhile, Oblak showed the goalkeeping world how it should be done on Wednesday night at Anfield. The 27-year-old limited Liverpool to just two gꦓoals throughout, despite The Reds having 11 shots on target – and 34 attempts.

Indeed, Oblak was commanding from corners and crosses, and had his defence of Kieran Trippier, Stefan Savic, Felipe and Renan Lodi completely organised. Eventually, Oblak’s performan✤ce was pivotal in the 4-2 aggregate win.

Oblak, who earns £170,000 a week at Atletico (),༒ reminded Tottenham supporters on Twitter of what it was like to have a reliable goalkeeper between the sticks – and they have ordered Jose Mourinho to do something about that.
