Tottenham fans are fuming with Danny Rose’s comments
Danny Rose has given an honest interview about his future – and some Tottenham fans have reacted angrily to his comments.
The 29-year-old has explained to the that he intends to stay at Spurs for the remainder of his contract and also that speculation about a possible exit in the summer was false.
His current deal with the North London club doesn’t expire until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The England internatonal recalled a conversation with chairman Daniel Levy where he was informed he wouldn’t be receiving a new deal, but he wants to stay put for the next 18 months.
“In January, you’re probably going to hear something [about my future]. I’m telling you right now that I’m not going anywhere until my contract is finished,” he said.
“Daniel Levy told me in the summer there was no new contract for me at Tottenham, which is fine. I respect that. We move on.
“My contract is up in 18 months’ time and I’ll leave the football club then. People [in the media] can save their time trying to get stuff ready for January about me being sold.
“Because I can tell you now: it ain’t happening. I know what people were trying to do in the summer… There were no bids — that was rubbish.”

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media want Rose frozen out from the first-team and are furious with his attitude.
The left-back hasn’t been at his best this campaign, but is continuing to get starts under manager Mauricio Pochettino and competing alongside teammate Ben Davies for the full-back role.
If he can recapture his top form this season it would be interesting to see if he could get supporters back on his side, but it seems they don’t want him around considering his long-term future is elsewhere and he intends to run his contract down.
Here are some Spurs fans on Rose’s comments:
He’s got a serious grudge with Levy and clearly wants to screw him over. Not saying he’s wrong but I wouldn’t have him near the team tbh.

Can’t stand him!

Can go in the reserves until then with that attitude

3 years ago he was the best left back in the league by a mile, what a waste of talent.

only one he cares about is himself , well good luck he wont find a top 6 club .. unfortunate now players have the power we should buy someone and then let him rot … time to move on

the best Spurs can do now is to pay Rose the rest of his contract and let him go now on a free. His presence/attitude is clearly against everything Pochettino stands for wrt squad unity. Letting Rose leave now would send a strong message to the rest of the squad and needed imo

I don’t think he can be trusted to give 100% when he plays now. He’s making a lot of mistakes already and he’s clearly not focussed on the team as he should be. It’s only natural that if you want to leave a job, to an extent you just coast your notice period. It’s the same thing.

Easy. Let him rot from now on. He isn’t the future and he isn’t actually any good these days.
