Tottenham fans are all in agreement over Wilson Odobert’s performance against Newcastle United
Tottenham fans are all saying the same thing about Wilson Odobert after the Frenchman made his second Premier League start for Spurs on Sunday.
The winger, a £25m signing from Burnley in August, was handed his Tottenham debut by Ange Postecoglou in the recent 4-0 win against Everton, proceeding to impress Heung-min Son with his display.
Now, Spurs fans are all in unison about Wilson Odobert after Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle…
Tottenham fans all agree on Wilson Odobert
Spurs supporters on X (previously known as Twitter) all agree that the France U23 international was a rare positive on a dark day up at St James’ Park.
One Tottenham fan wrote that Odobert offers something that Spurs have not seen for “a long time” in attack.
A second supporter echoed this sentiment, adding that the 19-year-old provides “a new dimension” for Tottenham going forwards.
Must say though, Odobert gives us something that we haven’t had in a long time and looks like a big threat going forward

Just need some better crosses into the box (doesn’t help not having a ST to aim for tbf)
Two more Tottenham fans praised Odobert.
One called the man from Meaux “some player” after the clash on Tyneside, in which the teenager could have scored his first goal for Spurs – had he not kneed the ball instead of heading it.
Another highlighted Odobert’s importance by saying that Ange Postecoglou lost Tottenham the game when taking the Frenchman off for Timo Werner in the 74th minute.
Last but not least, a couple of other Tottenham fans applauded the £25m signing from Burnley.
One went as far as saying that Odobert – who completed of his passes, according to SofaScore – was “probably” the best player on the pitch for Tottenham.
Another echoed the previous comment above, questioning why Postecoglou withdrew the tricky winger against Newcastle.
The same odebert who was probably our best player

Things will get better for the Frenchman at Spurs
Odobert has not been given the luxury of playing alongside a proper focal point of a No.9 such as Dominic Solanke in his two appearances for Spurs so far.

That has surely made things more difficult for the teenager in terms of finding a target for his crosses into the box, but with the England international expected to return after the international break, the £25m man’s life should become easier soon.
