Tottenham fans amazed as 20-year-old produces Monday masterclass

Dilan Markanday laid on three assists for Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-23 side on Monday night – and Spurs fans have praised the attacker on Twitter.

Markanday, 20, has been on fire for Tottenham’s second string this season. Clocking up 14 appearances for the 23’s, he has been involved in 16 goals.

Scoring 10 times, the London-born star has also laid on six assists – two of which have come in the EFL Trophy. It saw him earn a senior debut.

Markanday was handed 15 minutes against Eredivisie side Vitesse as Spurs suffered a 1-0 loss in The Netherlands. His form continued on Moday.

Coming up against struggling Leicester away from home, Markanday put the Foxes to the sword – without scoring a single goal for the London side.

Instead, he laid on three brilliant assists as Harvey White got a brace. Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Tobi Omole have scored for the 23’s.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Markanday after his assists?

His first came as Leicester failed to clear a corner, drilling a cross along the six-yard box for Fagan-Walcott to score. Then, he won a free-kick.

That free-kick was curled into the top corner by midfielder Harvey White – hitting the bar before it bounced in. He set up White’s second effort, too.

Twisting and turning his way to the byline, he pulled the ball back for an unmarked White to score. It saw him take his involvements to 16 this term.

Many Tottenham fans have applauded their young attacker, amazed by his stunning performance – as he continues to shine for the North Londoners.
