Tottenham fans all make the same point about Kevin Danso after his debut in League Cup loss at Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur are out of the League Cup at the semi-final stage as Liverpool ran out 4-1 winners on aggregate on Thursday night.
Tottenham went to Anfield boasting a 1-0 lead from the first leg but they were no match for the Reds, who beat them 4-0 on the night to reach the League Cup final.
Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the 34th minute in a first half that was almost entirely one-way traffic.
The Reds went up the gears ended up winning comprehensively as Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk all struck in the second half.
As bad a night as it was for Tottenham fans, there were also a few positives, not least how their debutants fared in the baptism of fire.

Tottenham fans pleased by Kevin Danso debut
Tottenham bolstered their defensive ranks late on in the transfer window when they signed Kevin Danso on loan from Lens with an obligation to buy.
Spurs fans felt Danto did well on the night and was one of the few players who could hold their heads up high after what was a very disappointing match.
One fan wrote: “Have to say despite the performance & result, was really pleased with what I saw from Danso & Tel.
“Danso: Assured, composed & strong. New to formation etc. but did well considering.
“Tel: worked very hard & encouraged the team to pressure & attack. Social media posts great too!”
Another compared Danso to Ledley King, saying: “Liked Danso, only first game I know but already giving me King vibes, would be a great leader…”
The praise for Danso kept coming, one fan writing: “Looks decent Danso – quick, strong, solid defender, didn’t do much wrong.”
Another said: “Felt he applied himself really well and showed positive glimpses of what we can expect of him in the future…”
Another supporter wrote: “He has got those line breaking passes in him like Romero, and also seems to like bursting forwards at times. Definitely an upgrade over Dragusin.
“Sadly, he was let down by others around him, on his debut. Him and Spence are the only two guys who can hold their head up.”
How Danso fared in Tottenham debut
Danso played very well on his Spurs debut, looking to carry the ball out of defence whenever possible and keeping Liverpool at bay as much as he could.

Danso also seems like a player who wears his heart on his sleeve, as per what he posted on social media the day after the game.
“Yesterday marked my debut for Tottenham Hotspur in the cup,” Danso wrote to Spurs fans on Instagram.
“And though we fell short against a strong side, I couldn’t be prouder to have worn this shirt for the first time.
“The loss stings, but I truly believe in this team and our journey ahead. I want to thank everyone at the club, and every single fan for the support!”
“Onwards and upwards. COYS.”
All in all, Danso looks like an inspired signing and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to fare for Spurs.
