Tottenham fans all make the same point about Cristian Romero after 2-2 draw vs Bournemouth
Cristian Romero made his comeback for Tottenham against Bournemouth on Sunday – but it did not go to plan.
The Argentina international has not been available for Ange Postecoglou since the 4-3 defeat against Chelsea on December 8th, having♑ suff෴ered hamstring damage at the same time as Micky van de Ven.
Romero – who Real Madrid like – had been deemꦍed a seismic absence for Spurs in the months between that loss to Chelsea and now, with the north Londoners relying on Archie Gray to cover for the World Cup winner in the meantime.
Even Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence have spent time in the centre🍎 of defence.
However – despite his pedigree – Cristian Romero did not bring much composure back to the Tottenham defence against Bournemouth, with ๊fans far from impressed.
Tottenham fans hit out at Cristian Romero on his comeback from injury
There was little room for patience regarding the South American from these Spurs supp♔orters – who were fairly ruthless when analysing his performance on his return.

One Tottenham fan called Romero a “massive liability” when discussing his displayꦿ against the Cherries, adding that the Argentine is “overrated” by the Tottenham fanbase.
In full, they wrote: “Can’t be many players for Spurs over the years that have been as overrated by our fa✤ns than Romero. At best he’s decent enough, nothing more. At worst he is 𝄹a massive liability.”

A second Sp💮urs supporter then posted: “I expect Romero to be a bi꧑t rusty but this is unacceptable so far. It’s borderline unprofessional.”

Then, a third Tottenham fan joked that Romero “forgot how to play football” during his time in the t🤡reatment room.

Furtherm🃏ore, another fan made the bold comment of describing Romero as a “big drop down from Gray” – a naturꦛal central midfielder by trade, who was simply covering in that position.
They wrote: “Romero having an absolute disaster-🀅class. Big drop down from Gray.”

A fifth supporter said it was “crazy” to see Romero being targeted as the trigger for Bournemouth to press – a player of his 💫quality should not be viewed as a weak link by the opposition, in all honesty.
The fact that ꩲRomero is the tri𓄧gger for Bournemouth’s press is CRAZY

Last but not least, a sixth Tottenham fan questioned if the Spurs No.17 actually won the World Cup – adding t♉hat his di𒀰splay against Bournemouth was “easily the worst” they’ve seen this season.
Did Romero actually win a World Cup winners medal I’ve seen some poor performances from spurs this season but this is easily the wor𒈔st.

Tottenham planning to offer Cristian Romero a new contract
The six Spurs fans above may not enjoy this news.
TBR Football understand Tottenham are ready to offer Romeroꦚ a new contract, and are even w🧸illing to pay him more than Heung-min Son, the club captain and current highest earner on £190,000-a-week.
Huge cheer before kick off as Cristian Romero'✤s name is read out in the Spurs team.

The 26-year♎-old’s current contract expires in July 2027.
Hoಞwever, if Romero continues to perform like he did against Bournemouth, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham keep this contract offer on the table.
