Tottenham eyeing ‘electric’ £30m forward likened to a young Lionel Messi
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on FC Copenhagen’s Roony Bardghji.
Spurs are one of several top European clubs eyeing the 18-year-old winger, according to Danish outlet .
The report claims Tottenham are a ‘big suitor’ and could provide competition to Chelsea for Bardghji’s services.
With Spurs and the Blues potentially set for a bidding war, Copenhagen are apparently rubbing their hands in terms of how much money they could make.
BT claims the Danish giants are hoping for a record sale, with the record currently being held by Victor Kristiansen and his switch to Leicester for around £17million.

Copenhagen have postponed contract renewal talks – Bardghji’s deal runs until December 2025 – and the focus is on ‘making a huge sale’ in the next two windows, added the report.
Furthermore, BT add that Bardghji is in London ‘these days’ – as per his Instagram profile – but they aren’t aware if it has to do anything with a potential switch to England.
Prior have suggested that the Sweden Under-21 international has a £30million price tag, which would make him the Danish Superliga’s record sale.
Roony Bardghji a good shout for Tottenham Hotspur – TBR View
Despite being just 18 years of age, Bardghji has shown that he’s a cut above in the Danish top flight.
He has 11 goals from 30 outings in all competitions this term, and 15 goals and one assist from 71 appearances for Copenhagen.
‘s Jacek Kulig published a scouting report on Bardghji in 2021 which declared him to have 10 out of 10 ‘world-class’ potential.
Kulig also likened the left-footer to Lionel Messi and deemed him “extremely dangerous on the counter thanks to his electric pace and acceleration”.
All in all, Bardghji looks like a great shout for Tottenham, who have done so well in the first few months of Ange Postecoglou’s tenure and have a great future ahead of them.
