Tottenham duo Djed Spence and Troy Parrott react to transfer news involving ‘phenomenal’ player

Tottenham Hotspur are up and running in the summer transfer window, with one signing now over the line.

Spurs recently landed one of the best young footballers in England, bringing Archie Gray to Tottenham from Leeds United.

Tottenham are likely to be busy over the coming weeks as Ange Postecoglou looks to make more solid additions to his squad.

Spurs have also seen some outgoings over the past few weeks, with more expected before the transfer deadline.

Joe Rodon has joined Leeds permanently, while Eric Dier, Tanguy Ndombele, Ivan Perisic, Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon have been released.

Of those, Tanganga is the latest to secure himself a move elsewhere, joining Millwall permanently on a long-term deal.

The Tottenham academy graduate took to Instagram to express his delight at re-joining the Lions, and a number of his peers wished him well in the comments.

The likes of Djed Spence, Troy Parrott and Sessegnon all congratulated Tanganga for his move to south-east London.

Tanganga eager to kick on at Millwall after Tottenham exit

Tanganga joined the Tottenham academy as a youngster and rose through the ranks before making an impressive breakthrough in 2019/20.

As per , one Spurs coach said of Tanganga in 2021: “He has the assets to be a phenomenal right-back.”

However, the defender sadly suffered a number of injuries and couldn’t become a regular starter for the Lilywhites.

Last season, Tanganga went on loan to Augsburg, but didn’t manage to get a game and duly returned to Spurs in January.

He then spent the remainder of the season at Millwall, where he did enough to impress Neil Harris and earn himself a permanent move.
