Tottenham desperate for a Dominik Szoboszlai type midfield man

Tottenham are in desperate need of a Szoboszlai type midfielder.

The young Hungarian midfielder is a top player and would make Tottenham a much better side.

Last night against England the midfielder registered two key passes, won a foul and completed one long ball and one cross ().

Those numbers came despite the fact that he was an attacking midfielder player in a side that just just 36% of the ball.

It’s certainly impressive that he managed to have the impact he did, even with his side not seeing much of the ball.

From a slightly right-sided role just behind the striker, Szoboszlai was fantastic.

He’s the type of player that links the midfield and the attack, making going forward look seemless.

At just 20-years-old, he’s looking like he could be the perfect option to fill Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen void.

Ever since the Dane left Tottenham they’ve struggled to replace his creativity.

In Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso the Lilywhites have some creative players, but no out and out #10.

That’s where Szoboszlai comes in.

The Hungarian’s creativity would allow Harry Kane to play as a striker and not have to drop to deep to do it all himself.

It also must be said that Szoboszlai, according to his , doesn’t compare to any Premier League players.

Of the top ten players he compares to across Europe, Thomas Muller and Lorenzo Pellegrini both feature.

However, there isn’t a single Premier League midfielder or winger in there.

Szoboszlai has a great output and this shows he could be in a league of his own in England.

He’s in the top 5% of all midfielders/wingers for shot creating actions in Europe’s top leagues and would be a huge asset for Tottenham.

The only downside is any move would cost Spurs a lot of money, as RB Leipzig will not want to sell such an asset on the cheap.
