Tottenham could still beat PSG and Bayern Munich to sign £50m player

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a new attacker this summer.

The likes of Eberechi Eze have been linked as of late, but perhaps the most intriguing rumour of this summer so far has been around Desire Doue.

The Rennes star is seen as one of the next big things in French football, and he’s attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.

Speaking on the , Dean Jones has been discussing Doue’s future and the race to sign him.

Jones says that Doue has interest from PSG and Bayern Munich, but Spurs are still in the race believing they have an edge because they can offer him a quicker path to first-team football.

Tottenham could beat PSG and Bayern to Desire Doue

Jones shared what he knows about the £50m player.

“He’s set to decide between Bayern Munich and PSG if he leaves say Sky Germany. Tottenham have had interest too and they feel they can offer him a quicker pathway into the first-team and hopefully that could give them an edge,” Jones said.

“While Sky say it’s between Bayern and PSG maybe keep an eye on Tottenham in the background on that one,” Jones said.

Tottenham can win these races

PSG and Bayern Munich are formidable opponents in any transfer battle, but Spurs have proven in recent times that they can win these kinds of transfer races.

Let’s not forget, Spurs beat Bayern Munich to the signing of Radu Dragusin in the January transfer window, while they beat Barcelona to get Lucas Bergvall in January.

Tottenham are serious players in the transfer market, and perhaps if they pitch their project to Doue in the correct way they’ll be able to get this deal done.

Doue looks set to join a top European club this summer.
