Tottenham could now reportedly move to sign £20m player who Gareth Southgate says is a brilliant dribbler
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer, a player who has a huge admirer in England boss Gareth Southgate.
Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging transfer window so far as they have moved to bring in five new additions to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
Micky van de Ven and Alejo Veliz officially made the switch to North London on Monday as they followed Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Manor Solomon through the door.
Of course, Tottenham still have plenty to do before the end of the window as they bid to trim a bloated squad.
And depending on outgoings, they could well look to bring in another midfielder or forward player.
claimed on Wednesday that Tottenham are continuing to monitor Eberechi Eze’s situation at Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old impressed at Selhurst Park last season and even earned a call-up to the England squad.
And it’s fair to say that Gareth Southgate is a huge fan of the talented Palace star.
Southgate on Eze
“We’ve liked him for a long time,” Southgate told after calling up Eze back in May.
“He was very unfortunate just before the Euros we were going to call him into a prep camp and he got a very bad injury.
“I think he has finished the season really strongly. He can play in a couple of positions in that attacking line.
“He’s a goal threat with nice ability and a burst of speed to go past people and to take people out of the game with his dribbling skills.
“We are looking forward to seeing him a bit closer. Everybody I speak to talks brilliantly about him as a person as well.”

Eze netted 10 times and provided four assists for Palace in the Premier League last season.
The Englishman has proven to be a versatile option for the Eagles too as he’s operated in midfield and out wide.
Of course, Tottenham are well-stocked in terms of options in midfield and across the frontline.
But with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele linked with moves away from the club, they could yet target another midfielder.
Palace are expected to demand a hefty fee to sell the talented midfielder this summer though, especially after they paid to snap him up just three years ago.
