Report: Tottenham could sign ‘incredible’ £29m wing-back despite only just confirming Djed Spence deal

Tottenham Hotspur might have only confirmed the signing of Djed Spence this week but they could make another move for Wolves winger, Adama Traore.

That’s according to anyway, who claim that Traore remains on the list of potential targets for Spurs, as Antonio Conte seeks to beef up his wing-back options.

Spurs only signed Spence this week and have already landed Ivan Perisic in this window as well. However, a number of players could also leave, with Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal the two being tipped to jump ship. And claims that could further open the door for Tottenham to land Traore.

Of course, Tottenham’s interest in Traore is nothing brand new at all. They tried to sign him before he signed for Barcelona and at one point even looked to have a deal all but wrapped up. Traore is now back at Wolves though having failed to really leave his mark at the Camp Nou.

Traore, dubbed an ‘incredible‘ talent for his past performances, is also being watched by Newcastle. The winger could cost as much as , given that’s what Barca would have had to pay to make the deal permanent.

TBR’s View: Traore To Tottenham Has Been And Gone

Surely Tottenham won’t go back for Traore after all the time they’ve spent chasing him and not succeeding in recent times? Further, Traore hardly lit up Barcelona either, so it’s hard to imagine why Spurs would be desperate for him.

Of course, he does have attributes which Antonio Conte likes. He’s rapid quick, strong, and gets up and down the pitch as well. However, his final product is more than questionable and Traore doesn’t really improve the starting XI at Spurs.

For just shy of £30m, Tottenham could do much better with their money than sign Adama Traore.
