Tottenham could look at signing £17m striker this summer
Tottenham Hotspur may well be in for a new striker this summer.
Harry Kane still hasn’t been properly replaced after his move to Bayern Munich, and Spurs do need to find someone to replace the England captain at some point.
The north London club are yet to sign a new centre-forward since the departure of Kane, but that could all change this summer.
Indeed, speaking on , Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has been discussing some of Spurs’ summer plans, and he’s claimed that Spurs could well be in for a new striker.
According to Thomas, Serhou Guirassy could be a player that Tottenham consider signing this summer.

Guirassy could be an option for Tottenham
Thomas shared what he knows about the striker.
“If Tottenham end up going in the market for a new centre-forward in the summer, then logically Serhou Guirassy and Santiago Gimenez will be on the list of players they consider and look at, no doubt. They are two of the emerging strikers in Europe who are playing very well. If you talk to coaches, scouts, Technical Directors and even managers at clubs they’re speaking about Guirassy and Santiago Gimenez especially,” Thomas said.
Interesting
This is a very interesting rumour to say the least.
Guirassy has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season, and he is available for a very modest fee due to his release clause.
However, he’s only been at this level for a few months, and there’s every chance that this is just an unprecedented purple patch in what has otherwise been a rather average career to date.
Guirassy is worth a gamble, for sure, but you’d be hard-pressed to suggest that he’s the Kane replacement that Spurs may be looking for this summer.
Perhaps Tottenham should be in for a more tried and tested option this summer.
