Tottenham continue to monitor extremely fast 15-goal striker, they’re ‘serious’ about a summer move

Tottenham Hotspur are now said to be monitoring a potential deal for a new striker to add to Ange Postecoglou’s squad this summer.

Despite the fire-power Spurs possess, it could be argued that Postecoglou doesn’t currently have a recognised centre-forward in his side.

Perhaps Richarlison may dispute that comment, but he’s often proved that his best performances derive from the left wing in his career thus far.

Son Heung-min has also been effective as a striker this season, but it similarly wouldn’t be his first choice role.

Moreover, then there’s Timo Werner, who also now looks a lot more comfortable out wide, shouldering less goal-scoring responsibility.

With that all said, it would seem logical that Tottenham added an out-and-out striker to their squad this summer.

And with that in mind, German outlet have now been reporting that Spurs’ are continuing to monitor a striker who’s already scored 15 goals this season.

Omar Marmoush, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Wolfsburg last summer, is being watched by a few ‘rich’ English clubs according to the report.

Tottenham considering move for pacey Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush this summer

Both Tottenham and Newcastle are said to be ‘serious’ about a move in the summer via the report.

25-year-old Marmoush is said to be happy in Frankfurt, where he has progressed a lot, but the striker dreams of a move to England.

And according to this report, a departure for around £30m would be possible this summer if Frankfurt were to miss out on European football.

Marmoush’s coach at Frankfurt, has been very complimentary about the Egypt international’s ability in the past.

And as well as pointing out his pace as a huge asset, Toppmoller praised Marmoush for how hard-working he is.

He said: “He is a very good player who has discovered the art of scoring goals.

“He can sense the faith the coaches and his team-mates have in him, he is extremely hard-working and difficult to defend.”

All in all, it does seem as if Marmoush could be a good fit at Tottenham, a striker they’d seem well advised to consider this summer.

That being said, Spurs have just been delivered some rather frustrating injury news.
