Tottenham considering move for ‘world-class’ attacker who’s cheaper than Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto

Tottenham Hotspur have identified a cheaper alternative to both Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto this summer.

Spurs are still on the market despite signing Timo Werner on loan and Archie Gray on a permanent deal. Lucas Bergvall has completed his move to the club as well.

Ange Postecoglou knows that his side need further reinforcements to reach the next level, and he is keen to sign a new attacker in the coming days.

TBR Football exclusively revealed that Tottenham are focusing on signing Eze and Neto in this window but the two Premier League players are very expensive.

Spurs have now ‘pinpointed’ a cheaper alternative for that position and are considering whether to make a move to sign him.

How much Federico Chiesa will cost as Tottenham eye move

Federico Chiesa is widely expected to leave Juventus this summer.

New Juve boss Thiago Motta isn’t entirely keen to keep the Euro 2020 winner in his side, and with less than a year left on his contract, his future appears to lie elsewhere.

Chiesa is even being made to train alone after Motta left him out of his pre-season tour squad.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move to sign Chiesa this summer, and have shared some more details on the situation.

The report claims that Spurs are showing more interest in Chiesa than their Premier League rivals Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Sources have also told the outlet that ‘Tottenham have pinpointed Chiesa as a more affordable option than fellow targets Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto‘ this summer.

Chiesa has had injury issues which have affected his form in recent years, but Tottenham find his ‘experience and goalscoring record’ very attractive despite the fitness concerns.

The report also adds that Juventus are ready to entertain offers as low as £21million for the ‘‘ Chiesa this summer, which would be a bargain.

How much will Eze and Neto cost?

Chiesa for around £21 million is a really tempting market opportunity.

The Italian is rapid, can play anywhere across the frontline and in Postecoglou’s attacking system, he could prove to be a real success.

However, if Tottenham fans are given a choice between Chiesa and one of Neto and Eze, we’re convinced most people would go with the latter.

However, neither player will be cheap.

Eze has a release clause in his contract worth an initial £60 million plus an additional £8 million in add-ons ().

Neto, on the other hand, has no release clause, but Wolves are said to be demanding £60 million to let him go ().
