Tottenham confident of beating CL club to signing of ‘complete’ £30m player

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been in talks over Radu Dragusin over the past few days.

However, Spurs aren’t the only club in pursuit of the Genoa player, as Napoli are apparently trying their luck too.

recently reported that the reigning Serie A champions have submitted a fresh bid for Dragusin.

This has led to some alarm bells ringing amongst Spurs fans, but Sky Sports News journalist Michael Bridge has sought to allay such fears.

The reporter has now claimed on the news channel that Tottenham aren’t concerned about Napoli’s interest, suggesting that they’re still confident of winning the race.

Bridge also stressed that a new centre-back remains the main priority for Spurs, but added that the Lilywhites have no plans for other signings at this stage.

“Tottenham have no concerns about Napoli’s interest in January target Radu Dragusin as talks continue with Genoa for the defender,” Bridge said on Sky Sports News, via the .

“Signing a centre-back remains a priority in the January transfer window for Spurs.

“There are no other planned incomings this month as it stands, but that could change later in the month.”

It’s good to hear that Tottenham are apparently not concerned about Napoli’s interest in Dragusin.

It’s claimed that the Champions League club are willing to include players in a deal to sign the Romania international.

However, Spurs boast considerable financial muscle, so they could always up their bid and outbid their rival suitors.

The fact Dragusin reportedly fancies a move to Tottenham also helps. Hopefully it’ll be a positive outcome for Spurs in the coming weeks.

A few years ago, Jacek Kulig of deemed Dragusin a “complete and dominant” young centre-back.

Since then, he has really kicked on, and now his big career breakthrough awaits.
