Tottenham captain Son Heung-min snubs Harry Kane and names one former Arsenal star in his ‘dream team’
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal share a fierce rivalry in North London, but that hasn’t stopped Son Heung-min from naming a Gunners icon in his dream team.
The South Korean has been one of the best players in the Premier League for several years now.
Yes, Son𒈔 hasn’t quite been at his usual level this season, but his quality and intelligence on the pitch is as good as anyone e🦂lse in the English top-flight.
Son has now named his dream seven-a-side team, and no Tottenham player – past or present – has made the cut.

Son has been a fan of football all his life.
The Tottenham captain has revealed that he used to build𝓰 dre💝am teams in his notes when he was still in school back home in South Korea many years ago.
So, when he was asked to build a seven-a-side team using players who he thinks are the best꧅ of all🦋 time, he didn’t have too much trouble.
At the back, Son chose Manchester United legends Edwin van der Sar and Nemanj🌞a Vidic with Alessandro Nesta completing the def🥂ence.
In midfield, he paired Zinedine Zidane with Ronaldinho and then named another Br🌱azilian ic🅘on in Ronaldo Nazario up top.
Just as everyone was expecting Son to name himself or his good pal Harry Kane in the other strikerไ’s spot, the Spurs star named Arsenal legend Thierry Henry instead.
“I don’t 🌃know, it’s just my dream team,” he said in a video on Goal. “In school, I had notes and I was always bui🍌lding the dream XI. So, those players are always my favourite players.”

It’s not often that players – current or past – from Arsenal and Tottenham show love to ൩each other, but Son and Henry have huge mutual respect.
Son has just named the Arsenal legend in🍌 his dream team ahead of Kane and hi💫mself, which shows his admiration, while Henry has previously raved about the South Korean too.
The legendary Frenchman once claimed that he loved Son and even൩ celebrateওd a goal he scored – even though he plays for Tottenham.
Henry said in October 2022, as quoted by : “I love him, I love him. I want to have a word about him because I think he’s the only player, I wouldn’t say only, but one of the few players, who has played in the Premier League that I think the whole country 𝄹wants him to do well.
“When he was having that bad spell, not scoring goals. I celebrated his goal, not the Tottenham goal. I celebrated his g💎oal.
“Joking aside, everyone loves Son. There is something weird to have. Even the opposition fans will have some sympathy for him and that speaks volu🎃mes about who he is and how he is and what he represents. He’s just a nice guy.”
