Tottenham can finally replace Harry Kane by signing ‘deadly’ striker with £34m release clause

Tottenham Hotspur can finally fill Harry Kane’s void by signing a prolific centre-forward on the continent this summer transfer window.

Tottenham are expected to undergo a squad rebuild this window with as many as 10 players rumoured to depart.

Ange Postecoglou is eager to add new profiles to his side as he looks to return the club to the illustrious Champions League.

A forward is thought to be one of the areas he’s prioritising so the club should go all out to sign a striker who ripped it up in La Liga last term.

Tottenham should try to sign Artem Dovbyk

Since Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last summer, Tottenham have struggled to find a suitable replacement with Richarlison failing to make the grade.

Postecoglou’s men have become too over-reliant on Son Heung-min for goals, so the need to address that area of the pitch has become glaringly obvious.

That said, to fill Kane’s void, the club should try to sing Girona centre-forward Artem Dovbyk, who won La Liga’s Golden Boot last season.

The left-footed number nine netted 24 league goals whilst laying on eight assists, helping his side to a third-placed finish, thus qualifying for the Champions League.

Dovbyk has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks, so they should look to steal a march on their London rivals.

Artem Dovbyk price tag

Dovbyk, who has been labelled ‘deadly’ per the , is understood to have a £34m release clause in his contract.

Naturally, that’s put a number of clubs on red alert, so competition is set to be rife heading up to the transfer deadline.

In other news, a £50m playmaker Tottenham really want has received offers and will now make a decision.
