Tottenham board members consider shock move to appoint a former Liverpool manager to replace Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham Hotspur aren’t just focusing on their game against Liverpool, but they are also interested in a manager who was at Anfield in the past.

The Reds are on a different level compared to Spurs. Arne Slot’s men are 15 places and 42 points above the North Londoners ahead of their clash on Saturday.

A point for Liverpool in that game will make them the champions, and we’re sure everyone at Tottenham would love to be in the Reds’ position.

That is perhaps why some people on Spurs’ board are interested in appointing a manager who was previously at the helm at Liverpool.

Tottenham considering Jurgen Klopp and two other big-name managers

Jurgen Klopp is among the greatest managers the Premier League has ever seen.

The German took charge of Liverpool when they were nowhere near the top, and he led them to multiple trophies across different competitions.

Klopp left Liverpool last summer, and he has been working as the Global Sports Director at Red Bull Group since the turn of the year.

TBR Football confirmed recently that Ange Postecoglou is set to leave Tottenham this summer, and the North Londoners are looking at possible replacements.

have now claimed that ‘board members’ at Tottenham are considering making an attempt to lure Klopp, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti or Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso.

The report says that ‘Tottenham want to be bold and show they mean business’, which is why they are considering the three huge names mentioned above.

However, there is an acknowledgement that it will be difficult to convince any of them to manage Tottenham this summer.

What Jurgen Klopp has already said about managing another English club other than Liverpool

Klopp is a legend at Liverpool, and rightly so.

The German changed the face of the club during his time there, and even though Slot deserves praise for what he has done in his debut season, he still has Klopp’s players.

Tottenham being ambitious and targeting the former Liverpool boss is not a bad thing, but Klopp has already ruled out managing any other club in England.

He said when he announced that he was leaving Liverpool: “I know definitely I will never manage another club in England than Liverpool.

“That is not possible, I couldn’t for a second think about it, no chance, this is a part of the family, we feel at home here.”
