Tottenham are now thinking about signing a player Arsenal are ready to spend £86m on
Tottenham Hotspur still need a new striker after selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer.
The north London club are yet to truly replace Kane, and while Richarlison did show glimpses of form last season, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who thinks the Brazilian is the answer.
Tottenham need to dip into the market and sign a new centre-forward, and a number of options have been linked.
Ivan Toney has been linked with a move to Tottenham, as has Santiago Gimenez, and now, Spurs are being linked with another exciting centre-forward.

Tottenham interested in Viktor Gyokeres
state that Tottenham are scouring the market for strikers.
According to this report, Santiago Gimenez and Jonathan David are two players under consideration.
However, most interestingly, this report claims that Viktor Gyokeres is also on Tottenham’s radar.
The Sporting striker has been on fire over the past 12 months, and now, Spurs are looking at bringing him to north London.
Intriguingly, this isn’t the first time Gyokeres has been linked with a move to north London.
Arsenal have been keen on the striker for quite some time now, and last week it was reported that Arsenal were actually ready to pay £86m for Gyokeres.
Arsenal vs Tottenham for Gyokeres
Spurs and Arsenal could go head-to-head over this signing, and if they do, there may only be one winner.
With all due respect to Spurs, Arsenal are a much more appealing club at the moment.
The Gunners will be playing Champions League football next season, and given their spending trends in recent years, they may be able to put together a more attractive package than Tottenham.
Gyokeres is wanted by both north London clubs this summer, but it may be more likely that he ends up joining Arsenal in this transfer window.
Gyokeres is certainly a player to keep an eye on as we head into the business end of the window.
