Tottenham are now looking at signing ‘electric’ 18-year-old attacker after Antonio Nusa blow

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing FC Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji after missing out on Antonio Nusa.

Ange Postecoglou’s men were dealt a blow over the weekend as Brentford agreed a deal to sign Nusa.

Spurs had been locked in talks with Club Brugge over a move to sign the 18-year-old, with the deal said to be advanced at one stage.

The Norwegian starlet looks set to make the switch to West London instead, with the winger set to undergo his medical at Brentford.

But Tottenham remain in the market for a young winger and according to The Daily Mail, Roony Bardghji is of interest.

Tottenham eyeing move for Bardghji after Nusa blow

According to newsletter, Tottenham are still considering a move for a talented wide player.

With Nusa set to sign for Brentford, Bardghji is another youngster who is admired by staff at Spurs. But they will also face competition for his signature, with other clubs said to be keen on the Copenhagen winger.

Spurs have missed out on several key targets in recent years but it has often worked out quite well for the north Londoners.

Indeed, they landed Guglielmo Vicario after pulling out of the race to sign David Raya and they also opted for a move for Micky van de Ven over Edmond Tapsoba.

These are two recent examples of Spurs switching their focus in the transfer market to brilliant effect.

As for Bardghji, the 18-year-old has made quite the impression in Denmark this season.

The youngster has netted 11 times in 31 appearances, with one of his efforts coming against Manchester United in the Champions League. He’s been described as an ’ winger due to his impressive pace.

The left-footed wideman often operates off the right-hand side but has also played in an attacking midfield role in his short career.

While it will be a huge blow for Spurs to miss out on Nusa, their recruitment in recent years has improved dramatically and they will undoubtedly have other targets in mind.
