Tottenham are now considering hiring a manager who already has one big regret regarding Heung-Min Son
Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be in the market for a new manager come the summer.
Ange Postecoglou is set to be sacked at the end of the season, and a new gaffer should be in the dugout at Tottenham next term.
Spurs have been linked with a number of interesting managerial candidates in recent times.
Andoni Iraola is Tottenham’s top target, while Marco Silva has been linked with Spurs too.
Remarkably, it’s also been suggested that Tottenham are considering Jurgen Klopp among the potential successors for Ange Postecoglou.
Of course, Klopp isn’t likely to take the Tottenham job. After all, Klopp has been linked to Real Madrid recently, and, even then, there’s no suggestion that he’s ready to get back into management in any case.
However, there is one thing that may tempt Klopp into taking this job as he does have one big regret from his career.

Jurgen Klopp’s Heung-Min Son regret
Jurgen Klopp may be half tempted to take the Tottenham job just so he has the chance of managing Heung-Min Son.
Klopp has always been a fan of Son, and, earlier this year, the German admitted that one of the greatest regrets of his career was not signing Son when he had the chance.
Son wanted to sign for Liverpool at one point too according to some reports.
“And I could’ve signed Son from Tottenham – from Hamburg at that time,” Klopp added. “I don’t even remember why [he chose not to], but I just faced him in the Premier League and thought ‘my God you dumb —-!’ It’s crazy,” Klopp said.
Klopp is a huge admirer of Son, and who knows? Maybe he would like to have a crack at working with the South Korean.
Jurgen Klopp’s record vs Tottenham
Jurgen Klopp going to Tottenham would be one of the most remarkable managerial moves in Premier League history.
Klopp appeared to be done with English football when he left Liverpool last year, but, now, there is an avenue open for him to return.
Klopp is one of the greatest managers in Premier League history, and that’s a fact Tottenham know only too well.
Indeed, Klopp has a fantastic record against Tottenham in his career.

Wins | 12 |
Draws | 6 |
Losses | 2 |
The German only lost twice against Spurs in 20 appearances, while he famously masterminded a win against Spurs on the biggest stage of all, in the 2019 Champions League final.
Klopp isn’t likely to be Tottenham’s next manager, but, in football, you can never truly rule anything out.
