Tottenham are in the relegation zone on xPts under Nuno this season
Tottenham are 18th on xPts under Nuno this season.
The start that the Lilywhites had to the season was made to a look a lot better than the performances delivered as they won their first 3 games.
However, in the following three games from then the Lilywhites have picked up zero points, scored one goal and conceded nine.
The stats are truly dreadful when it comes to Nuno’s Spurs.
Even the games that they won weren’t entirely convincing.
It’s made even more obvious how lacklustre the Lilywhites have been when you see their xPts tally.
After six games only winless Leeds and pointless Norwich have performed worse than Tottenham ().
Despite being 11th with nine points, Spurs have amassed just 5.07 xPts.
That tally has them 18th in the Premier League with the likes of Newcastle United, Watford and Burnley all out performing them.

Across Spurs’ first six games they’ve only won the xG battle on two occassions.
Even when they beat Manchester City on the opening day they lost the xG battle.
Against Wolves and Watford they came out on top, but then the last three games have been atrocious.
Fortunately, Nuno has a chance to turn things around at Spurs.
The next league game that he takes charge of is at home to Aston Villa.
Nuno will have to see some dramatic improvements to his side if he’s to avoid another embarrassing defeat.
It’s certainly something for Spurs to address.
If there is any positive to take, though, it’s that they’ve underperformed in front of goal.
Given the chances they’ve had, Spurs have an xG of 5.47 in the Premier League despite scoring just 4 goals ().
If the Lilywhites can get start to finish their chances then at least their results will improve, even if the general performances don’t.
It is still early days, but if the overall trend at Spurs continues then Nuno may not have much time left at the club.
