Tottenham are expected to make bid to sign ‘unbelievable’ £55m Premier League player
Tottenham Hotspur have kicked off their summer transfer window with the signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United.
The 18-year-old followed Lucas Bergvall and Timo Werner♐ through the door at Hotspur Way, with the latter extending his loan deal by a further year.
Bergvall’s move to Tottenham👍 was wrapped up in January but the Swedish starlet has officially arrived in north London.
Despite the arrivals of Bergvall and Gray, Ange Postecoglou remains keen on bolstering his options in the middle of the park and Conor Gallagher continues to be linked with a move to Spurs.
The Chelsea midfielder has long been on Tottenham’s radar but recent reports have suggested that 🎐Postecoglou’s men have cooled their interest in Gallagher.
ဣHowever, according to Ben Jacobs, the north Londoners are still expected to test Chelsea’s resolve with a bid this summer.

Tottenham still expected to bid for Conor Gallagher
ꦕSpeaking on , Jacobs shared the latest on Gallagher’s future with the midfielder entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
𒆙Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa also remain keen, with the La Liga giants even presenting a verbal offer to Chelsea.
ꩵBut Spurs are still expected to launch a bid for the England star as Chelsea continue to demand a package worth around £55 million.
𝓰“At the right price, which is a £55m package, they’re open to a Conor Gallagher exit but they’re not forcing him out the door,” Jacobs said.
♏He added: “With Gallagher, Tottenham are still expected to bid and are one to watch between now and the end of the window. I think Gallagher’s preference would still be to stay in the Premier League but ultimately we now need to understand whether anyone is going to get anywhere near Chelsea’s valuation.
🌼“Atletico Madrid, to my knowledge, have had one verbal rejected offer and it was £20 million plus bonuses. So, it was a good £25 million below Chelsea’s valuation and it was dismissed, although with these formal offers it’s more like a conversation starter than necessarily anything that can be deemed to binding.”

Postecoglou has personally requested Gallagher signing
🎉Gallagher continues to be linked with a move away from Chelsea and it will be intriguing to see how his situation develops over the coming weeks.
With just a year left on his current deal, the Blues will be forced to make a decision over the ‘unbelievable‘ midfielder’s future sooner rather than later.
Postecoglou is said to be a huge admirer of the Chelsea star and has even personally requested that Spurs snap up Gallagher this summer, according to reports.
ౠWhether or not the Aussie gets his wish remains to be seen as it’s difficult to imagine Tottenham parting with £55 million to sign a player they could potentially land on a free transfer next summer.
