Now it seems that Spurs are back in talks with Leeds for James as Conte looks to add some pace to his frontline.
Spurs trying to sign James
Fabrizio Romano reports that talks are now underway for Spurs to bring James in on a loan deal.
Negotiations are ongoing and the deal would include an option for Conte’s men to buy the 24-year-old.
But there are other clubs interested and the player will have to make a decision soon.
James is apparently happy at Leeds but will have to decide on his future before tomorrow’s deadline.
Spurs have been on the lookout for an attacking player as reports suggest they need to replace Bryan Gil before allowing him to join Valencia.
In what seems like a bizarre move, Spurs have clearly set their sights on James as their replacement.
The former Swansea man has shown some flashes of brilliance during his time at Manchester United and Leeds. But hasn’t quite lived up to his potential as of yet.
