Tottenham and West Ham both keen on signing ‘magic’ midfielder who’s the most valuable player in his club’s history
Tottenham and West Ham are both among the teams in England actively looking for new players this summer and they could be on a collision course for the same midfielder.
Spurs are already making their presence felt in the market and have splashed out a £40m fee to bring in Archie Gray from Leeds.
West Ham, meanwhile, have spent a similar fee to bring in Max Kilman from Wolves as they look to give Julen Lopetegui new signings.
However, both clubs are far from done in this window and want more new signings over the line before the season starts.
And according to journalist Rudy Galetti, the English duo could go head to head for one of Serie A’s standout midfielders.
Tottenham and West Ham both remain keen on Albert Gudmundsson
As we know, interest in Gudmundsson from Tottenham and West Ham is nothing brand new.
However, it looked like things might be cooling off a touch in terms of that interest as both teams look to make new signings.

But according to journalist Rudy Galetti, that isn’t the case and taking to to provide an update on the situation, Galetti has once again said Spurs and the Hammers are keen on Gudmundsson.
Interestingly, Galetti speaks of how Gudmundsson is now the most valuable player in the history of Genoa and he’s expected to fetch in at least £30m should they sell.
Described as a ‘‘ talent, Gudmundsson was among a number of players to light up Serie A last season with a string of fine performances.
The Icelandic star rattled in 14 goals for Genoa last season and he’s already hit double figures for his country as well.
Quite whether Tottenham or West Ham will firm up their interest with a concrete bid, remains to be seen.
However, it’s clear Genoa are open to doing business and should an offer of £30m or so come in, it’s going to be hard for them to turn down.
