Tottenham and Man United are keeping close tabs on ‘the most promising goalkeeper in world football’

Tottenham Hotspur have endured a topsy-turvy start to the season.

Tottenham reside in 10th place having won five, drawn once and lost five of their opening 11 games.

That’s put major pressure on Ange Postecoglou, with some supporters even calling for him to be sacked by the board.

It seems he’s set to stay for the festive period but there’s no doubt results must improve and stay consistent.

Postecoglou is set to get the January transfer window, too, and with that said, TBR Football can exclusively reveal that they’re keeping tabs on a highly-rated goalkeeper on the continent.

Tottenham and Man United keeping tabs on Lucas Chevalier

TBR Football can reveal that Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been making checks on Lille’s highly-rated goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.

The 23-year-old is ‘the most promising goalkeeper in world football’ and his progress was rewarded with a call-up to the French squad for the recent Nations League double-headers.

TBR Football has previously already revealed that Manchester City and Newcastle have been watching Chevalier.

Chelsea have been impressed with number one Robert Sanchez, whilst they also signed Filip Jorgensen in the summer – yet the club’s hierarchy are continuing to assess all their options and Chevalier has been watched this season.

Tottenham and Man United not actively looking for a number one goalkeeper

Tottenham and Man United, whilst not currently looking for a number one, are also making sure that they are aware of the best available on the market – should they opt to move on from their current first choices Guglielmo Vicario and Andre Onana.

Vicario appears to have the backing of Postecoglou at the moment but there have been tentative doubts about his form.

So it seems Spurs are positioning themselves in the race for Chevalier if their current number one continues to falter between the sticks.

Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been watching Chevalier this season.
