Tottenham and Aston Villa considering bids for ‘outstanding’ £20m England international defender

TBR Football understands that a number of Premier League clubs are weighing up whether to make an offer for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.

Tomori has made a name for himself over in Milan and is very much part of the thinking for the new England regime under Thomas Tuchel.

The 27-year-old has been in and out of the Milan team this season but has started the last two games, completing 90 minutes on both occasions.

And now, TBR Football can reveal there is interest from England, albeit there’s stiff competition from Italian giants, Juventus.

Tottenham and Aston Villa could challenge Juventus for Fikayo Tomori

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that Juventus – who failed to land their primary January target in the shape of Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo – have now turned their attention to England international Tomori.

Juventus have put a deal on the table which is a loan deal with an initial €5million fee with a €20million obligation in the summer with another €5million in bonuses.

As TBR Football has previously revealed, Tottenham are big fans of Tomori and are considering making a rival offer and we are told that Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton are keeping a close eye on the situation.

TBR Football is told that Tomori is open to the prospect of a move this summer, but there could be an issue as new head coach Sergio Conceicao is believed to be a big fan of Tomori and would prefer he is not sold this summer.

Fikayo Tomori is actually an Arsenal fan

While football is very much a business and a move to Tottenham is a big one for most players, for Fikayo Tomori, it’s likely to bring a bit of needle from the family.

The ‘‘ Tomori is an open Arsenal fan and has previously spoken of being brought up very much as a fan of the Gunners.

Indeed, Tomori has spoken of Thierry Henry being his idol as a youngster, while he’s continued to admire him as a pundit.

“When I was growing up I was a big fan. He was my idol. And as a pundit he’s really funny,” Tomori told in 2023.

Whether or not that stands in the way of Tomori moving to a Spurs or Villa, remains down to the man himself.
