Tottenham among Premier League clubs to be offered ‘really good’ £51m player Son Heung-min rates highly

TBR Football understands that Min-jae Kim has been offered to several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

The South Korean defender enjoyed a very good campaign at the heart of Vincent Kompany’s defence this term, helping Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title.

But now, TBR Football can reveal that with Jonathan Tah’s arrival from Bayer Leverkusen, the newly crowned German champions will be looking to move on one of Kim or Dayot Upamecano.

Upamecano is currently in talks over a new deal and Bayern sources expect him to commit to a new deal in the coming weeks.

Tottenham and Chelsea offered chance to sign Min-jae Kim

Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle have all been made aware that Min-jae Kim could be available this summer.

Chelsea are looking to add to Enzo Maresca’s defensive line this summer, and Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo are available for sale in order to raise funds.

Tottenham Hotspur may need to replace Cristian Romero, who could join Atletico Madrid this summer following Ange Postecoglou’s departure.

Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and the Saudi Pro League are interested in the defender who is the most expensive Asian player of all time. Bayern paid £51m to sign Kim back in 2023.

However, we are told that Kim has long held a desire to play in the Premier League, and now contact has been made with a number of clubs.

Most of the clubs contacted have an historic interest in Kim and many showed an interest in him, prior to his move to Bayern – indeed United, Chelsea and Spurs all liked him prior to his move to Fenerbahce.

Bayern are believed to be willing to do a deal and would be willing to talks terms, which would see them taking some sort of loss on the player.

What Tottenham’s Son Heung-min said about Min-jae Kim

Son was full of praise for his South Korean teammate when the pair met last summer in a friendly between Tottenham and Bayern.

Speaking to last summer, Son said: “As I say every time, Min-jae Kim is a really good defender. It’s a defence that I really like. From a global perspective, I think he is a player who can learn many things from now on.”

Son has played with Kim on 57 occasions and the pair have won 30 times together, drawing 18 and losing just nine times.

Now, the duo could be reunited at Tottenham, should the North London club make their move. But there is also the fact that Al-Hilal want Son, which could prevent that from happening.
