Tottenham admirers of Daniel James; Ben Davies is a fan of Leeds star
Tottenham Hotspur are surprise admirers of Daniel James, this week that Fabio Paratici is a fan of the Leeds United winger.
James moving to North London would be one transfer almost no-one would have predicted before the summer began. The Welshman has had a difficult time at Elland Road. And he arrived at Leeds for a lot of money.
His struggles have not all been down to him. James has been deployed as a striker for much of his spell due to the problems Patrick Bamford has had with injury.
But James was quietly excellent at the weekend as Leeds thrashed Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road. He was the one member of the front four who failed to score. But he did not look out of place in the line-up, even if his display went under the radar.
And there is certainly one member of the Spurs squad who would welcome James into the fold.
Of course, Davies knows James extremely well from playing together with Wales. In fact, the pair have played together 27 times for their country.
And ahead of the winger’s move to Manchester United in 2019, the defender explained just how highly he rated the youngster.
“Dan’s a top player and he’s around top players in this squad,” Davies said, as reported by .
“There’s no chance these boys will let him change. He’s a really grounded kid and we’re delighted for him as a group that he’s got this move.”

It would be a real shock if Spurs now made a move for James. Leeds may be open to major offers for the 24-year-old.
The Whites spent to bring him to the club. And while they may be prepared to make a little loss, that would still represent a significant outlay for a player who has had 22 goal contributions in 84 Premier League games.
Having said that, he does have incredible pace. And if Antonio Conte is a fan, Spurs fans may be willing to give such a deal a chance.
