‘You will see the best of me’: 24-year-old makes pledge to Spurs fans, he’s set to start v Vitesse
Spurs ace Steven Bergwijn has told fans that they’ll soon “see the best” of him following his return from injury.
The Tottenham forward began the season brightly and looked as though he would shine under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Sadly, Bergwijn has been unlucky with injuries this term.

The 24-year-old picked up an ankle injury while on international duty with the Netherlands.
He recovered from that, but then received a blow to the same ankle in the Europa Conference League trip to Rennes.
Bergwijn was on the sidelines until last Sunday, when he was in the Spurs matchday squad for the trip to Newcastle.
The Dutchman was an unused substitute at St James’ Park, but he’s set to start for Tottenham at Vitesse on Thursday.
“He’s going to start the game,” Nuno Espirito Santo told at Wednesday’s pre-match press conference.

“He’s going to play. He’s feeling good. So let’s play good, be Stevie.”
The same outlet Bergwijn whether fans had seen the best of him yet.
“No I don’t think, I don’t think so,” he .
“I know I have more in house, but I started this season positively and well.
“Last season was difficult for me, but this season started positively.
“Then I got the injury but I kept the confidence from the staff here and you will see the best of me soon.”
