Top five ‘break-through’ youngsters at Euro 2016 feat. Manchester United and Real Madrid stars

At every major International tournament in recent years, there has been one or two specific young players who impress and gain worldwide attention, before waiting for a season or two and making a big money move to a bigger club as they replicate the form they produced at the Euros in their respective leagues.

With the approach of the 2016 European Championships in France, there are a number of players who could potentially put their name on the map or improve the impression that the world already has on them.

Over the next few pages, we have suggested our top five starlets just emerging onto the world stage who could use Euro 2016 as a spring-board. Let us know your thoughts on the selection in the comments below, and leave any alternative names that we have not included.

Ante Coric

One of Croatia’s current bright talents is midfielder Ante Coric, who has been likened to players like Zinedine Zidane and David Silva. He has a very un-nurtured and raw ability, and is still inconsistent, so he may struggle to show up on a big stage. However, Coric is not shy and knows his talents, so in retrospect, he may be able to impress.

He has been linked with Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid but has verbally committed his future to Dinamo Zagreb. This will allow him to try to perform at the tournament without the pressure of big team’s scouts watching over him, and allow him to grow further into the player he has been touted to be in the future.

If he performs in France, then he will certainly gain more attention than he already has received and in a few years time, we may see Coric donning the shirt of a top five Premier League team.
