‘Top-class’: Ben Davies left amazed by 25-year-old Tottenham player’s display against Leeds United yesterday
Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has told that he was left amazed by Rodrigo Bentancur’s display against Leeds United yesterday.
Bentancur put in another impressive performance yesterday as his quickfire brace earned Spurs an important three points.
Antonio Conte’s men went behind three times in the game but battled back to secure a 4-3 win in north London.
Harry Kane got on the scoresheet for Spurs but it was Bentancur’s goals in the final 10 minutes of the game that secured the win.
The 25-year-old has started to add goals to his game of late, having scored four in his last five appearances.
After yesterday’s game, Davies labelled Bentancur a ‘top-class’ player and praised him for his ability on the ball.

Davies amazed by Bentancur
“He’s top-class. I think he’s really put in some excellent performances for us,” .
“He carries the ball, breaks the play up and he’s added goals to his game as well so it’s performance after performance week in week out and the boys are really happy for him.”
Bentancur was named as after yesterday’s display and it was fully deserved.
The Uruguayan ran the show from central midfield and capped off a brilliant first-half of the season with two goals.
He will now be heading to the World Cup in Qatar and will be hoping to carry his brilliant form into the tournament.

It was an important win for Spurs yesterday and despite doing it the hard way, they remain in the top-four heading into the international break.
Conte’s men fell behind yet again but put in a spirited performance to rescue a win.
The Italian will be hoping his side can produce more consistent displays after the World Cup and drop the bad habit of going behind in the first-half.
