Tony Dorigo reacts on Twitter to Leeds 2-0 victory away to Southampton
Tony Dorigo shared his delight on after Leeds United beat Southampton 2-0 at St Mary’s on Tuesday evening.
The Whites recorded an impressive away win in the Premier League, which guaranteed they will finish in the top half of the table on their first season back in the top flight.
Despite having to deal with a quick start from Southampton, who were playing in front of their home fans, Leeds grew into the contest.
Patrick Bamford eventually put the Yorkshire club ahead in the 73rd minute with his close-range finish, before Tyler Roberts netted his first Premier League goal in 95th minute to wrap up three points on the road.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side now finish the campaign at home to West Brom on Sunday, and will welcome back a small crowd to Elland Road.
Dorigo delivered his post-messages assessment on social media:
Yet another away win, had to keep them at bay for the first 25 minutes but then showed our class. Great to see Berardi back and a Robert’s goal to add to a delicious Rodrigo through ball for Bamford to score the first. Top half guaranteed, wow!

TBR’s View:
If you were naming the best managers in the Premier League this season, Bielsa should be in the thick of the conversation. His side are eighth in the league standings after recording a third consecutive win on Tuesday.
There are so many special individuals within the Leeds squad, but the way 27-year-old centre-forward Bamford has proven so many people wrong deserves a special mention.
He chalked up his 16th league goal of the season in the Southampton victory, which lifts him up to joint-fifth in the division’s goalscoring charts.
